OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject:- Delegation of power for reimbursement of Ayah Charges to the Head of Office, under CS(MA) Rules, 1944.

       The undersigned is directed to invite reference to Government of India's Decision 28 (ii) below Rule 2 of CS(MA) Rules, 1944, wherein an arrangement for reimbursement for engaging special Attendant/Ayah has been made. Now on receipt of a number of requests for reimbursement of Ayah Charges, this Ministry has decided to delegate the powers to the 'Head of Office' for reimbursement of Ayah/Attendant charges for the period of stay as indoor patient in the hospitals recognized by the State Government/CGHS Rules/CS(MA) Rules, 1944, under CS(MA) Rules, 1944,

2.      The Ceiling limit for such reimbursement would be Rs.2000/- only.

3.      It is also mentioned that for such purpose a certificate from the medical officer incharge of the case in the hospital and countersigned by the medical superintendent of the hospital should be produced in the form appended below.

4.      This Office Memorandum issues with the concurrence of IFD vide Dy. No.736 dated 23.5.2008.

CERTIFICATE FORM

     I certify that ........................................ employed in the ........................ has been under treatment for ............................. disease at the Hospital ...................... and that the services of the special ayah/attendant, for which an expenditure of Rs......... was incurred, vide bills and receipts attached, and were essential for the recovery/prevention of serious deterioration in the condition of the patient.
